Evony beginner's guide

The main thing to do when your a beginner is to do quests. You don't have to worry on what to build because if you follow the quests, you'll be fine and you can build more cities later in the future as you get stronger and will know much more on what to build.
(Note-when your new you'll be on Truce Status for 7days, which means you cannot attack or be attacked by anyone.)

Chatting---
You can chat in the world chat only if you have speakers. You'll get free 5 speakers in the beginning of the game, but after you use all of them up you can't talk in the world chat or whisper other people, but you can still talk in your alliance chat. You can buy speakers at the shop or get speakers when your lucky with the Wheel of Fortune.

Amulet---
The amulet will be given to you daily. The Amulet is for the Wheel of Fortune. The wheel of fortune can only be activated when you have Amulets.

The Wheel of Fortune---
When you buy or get an amulet from the Daily Quest, you can use The Wheel of Fortune to get random items.
If you get supplies such as food, lumber, etc, you get 40K of it, if you have a Town Hall lvl5 or less.
Town Hall 6 gives 2x the amount.
Town Hall 7 gives 4x the amount.
Town Hall 8 gives 6x the amount.
Town Hall 9 gives 8x the amount.
Town Hall 10 gives 10x the amount!

Building---
To build, click on a space in your town and build whatever you want to build.(Tip-When building only has two minutes of construction time you can click "Speed Up" and it will be done, but when it's more than 2 minutes you'll have to buy Speed Ups which would be found in the Shop.)

Supply---
After you build cottages(Which is highly recommended, for population)you should make supplies.(Food,Lumber,Stone, and iron)To make them, go click on "City" and click on one of the spaces and make whichever supply you want to build first.(Farm,Sawmill,Quarry, and Ironmine)

Attack/Defense---
When your 7Days Truce Status is almost over you should build up your defense and make your army.
Build barracks to make an army.(Tip-Build lots of barrack, so you can make different type of soldiers at the same time)You should build Warriors mainly in the beginning.
For defense, build up your walls which could take while, but it would be very useful. Also, build up traps and archer towers, which is the best choice for beginners.
(Tip-Build warehouses and upgrade them, so when you get attacked and plundered you still get to keep the supplies you stored)

Heroes/Governor---
In Evony the heroes play a major role in the game play. Good heroes can give you major advantage over the opponent players.
A Hero has three attributes politics, intelligence and attack and overall level. Heroes help you gain prestige and honor fast when you set them as mayor
1. A good politics hero gives you extra resource and reduces building time
2. A good intelligence hero reduce the research time and gets more information in scouting
3. A good attack hero minimizes the troop building time and win a battle against stronger opponent.

Alliance---
To join an alliance you must build an Embassy first. After you build an embassy you can either join a friend's alliance or join someone else alliance. To do this, click on your embassy and click "Enter Alliance" and find an alliance. When you do join an alliance you can chat with your alliance members without having to use speakers. To speak at the alliance chat, click on the hands symbol, on the left side of the chat box and you'll be able to chat with your alliance members.
