TERA Online action-MMORPG new trailer
TERA, an upcoming PC MMO being developed by Bluehole Studio, was officially announced by En Masse Entertainment during this year's Game Developers Conference and to show off some of the game's action-adventure style, a trailer has been released.
If you haven't heard about this game before, in short, TERA is a richly detailed game world with a pioneering dynamic combat system. Players must work together to save the world from monsters and warring gods. It is expected to be released in Korea in the summer of 2010 and will arrive in the west in the winter.

WonderKing Online was first released in Korea. The other regional versions are at different stages of development and most are not as advanced in content as Korea's. The Korean version requires players to register using their Korean Social Security ID along with other career and personal information which strongly limits the amount of non-Koreans playing the Korean version. The Japanese version, however, does not require this type of information and many North American players have played on the Japanese version. Due to the Japanese version being so far out dated, this lack of updates has caused Japanese players to migrate over to the North American version as well.

The Mabinogi Heroes open release page has been launched and the game has been premiere launched (accessible only in PC cafes) on December 16. Additionally, the game will be opened to the home user/player after January 21st, 2010. Future Works Correspondent Joshua Ciao stated the game to be a "blow out" and that it will do very well.
During the Penny Arcade Expo 2009, it was announced that Mabinogi Heroes, along with Dragon Nest and Crazy Arcade will be released by Nexon America in 2010. As of January 2010, only the North American version of Crazy Arcade, Pop Tag! has been released. In early March 2010, Nexon America officially revealed the North American release of Mabinogi Heroes. They announced that the game will be renamed to be Vindictus in North America, and that it is scheduled for release in Q4 2010.

Players can battle monsters in traditional MMORPG style or take a break to play cooking, farming, and other mini games. There’s even a whole kart racing mode and trading card game built into Free Realms! The graphics are bright and vibrant and appeal to a large audience. The game may be geared towards kids but Free Realms can be enjoyed by all age groups. The only down side to the game is the fact that many features and classes are only available to paying subscribers.
- Jade Dynasty, Set in ancient China, Jade Dynasty gives players accustomed to Western style fantasy MMORPGs a new perspective. The gameplay isn’t revolutionary but the interface and graphics are top notch. Players will experience sunsets and sunrises, pass by lush waterfalls, mountains and deserts. Both land based and flying mounts are available, there’s even a marriage system for players who want to tie the virtual knot. Most of the games that made this list rely on an animated art style which are easier to work with but Jade Dynasty deserves credit for taking a more realistic approach.
- Grand Fantasia, The fantasy world of Saphael boasts bright, anime inspired visuals and a whole lot of land to explore. The game is highly accessible but still features plenty of content in the form of quests, a unique pet system, and mounts which are acquired at an early level. Grand Fantasia doesn’t have the most original gameplay style, but looks and feels like the natural evolution of previous anime MMORPGs including SEAL Online and FlyFF. Players looking to sink their teeth into a deep, involved MMORPG with cheerful graphics should give Grand Fantasia a try.
- Lost Saga, This MMO fighting game takes the genre to the next level. With anime inspired graphics and fighters hailing from all backgrounds, Lost Saga battles are always exciting. The fluid gameplay also helps tremendously. While other online fighting games suffer from stuttering/lag, Lost Saga runs smoothly. Players start with access to only one fighter, the Shadow Assassin and can unlock new characters as they play. This is the closest thing to a free PC version of Super Smash Bros that’s been released thus far and gamers should check it out.
- Dragonica Online, MapleStory may of popularized the side-scrolling MMOPRG concept but Dragonica takes it to a whole new level. The gameplay is fast paced and the game does an excellent job of mixing a persistent world with dozens of instanced dungeons. These dungeons can be played solo or with a group and on multiple difficulty levels depending on the level and skill of the party. While Dragonica is a side-scroller, players can still move in three dimensions, at least slightly. The whole package feels like one of those arcade action-RPGs and is well worth checking out.
- BattleForge, One genre that’s noticeably absent from the MMO scene is the RTS. Strategy games are generally very popular on the PC so its never been clear to me why we’re not surrounded by MMORTS games. Fortunately, BattleForge makes up for the genre’s long absence in spades. Battleforge is a mix of RTS (real time strategy) and TCG (trading card game) but manages to combine the two to produce a highly playable, fast paced game. Besides the exciting multiplayer gameplay, BattleForge has a full feature single player mode with several campaigns, each composed of multiple stages. Anyone looking for a new strategy game with top notch production values should look no further than BattleForge.
- MLB Dugout Heroes, MLB Dugout Heroes marks an important milestone for the free to play model. The game plays as you would expect a baseball video game to. Players pick a team, monitor their players’ stat growth and take control during the process of pitching and batting during their team’s turn. The real interesting thing with MLB Dugout Heroes is the fact that GamesCampus has an official license agreement with the MLB. This means the game uses the names of real players and teams. The gameplay is simple to pick up but requires practice to master. MLB Dugout Heroes makes the perfect free MMO for baseball fans, but fans of sports games in general will appreciate the level of detail put into the title.
- League of Legends, Who could of imagined that a Warcraft 3 custom map would eventually inspire multiple stand alone game releases? That’s exactly what happened with Defense of the Ancients, or DotA for short. Several people associated with the free Warcraft mod eventually formed their own studio and created League of Legends. Two teams, consisting of up to 5 players each, pick from a large pool of heroes and battle alongside NPC controlled creeps in a race to destroy the opposing force’s base. The graphic style in LoL is much more animated and an in-game match making system ensures players only battle those near their skill level.
- Battlefield Heroes, The venerable Battlefield series revealed a more casual side with this year’s release. The free to play Battlefield Heroes is a third person shooter with a distinctly cartoon graphic style. Much of the series’s staples such as varied class kits and player controlled vehicles make a return. The small client size and less realistic graphics make BF Heroes the perfect casual shooter since it will run on a wider range of PCs than previous Battlefield titles. Heroes is the first in the series to incorporate RPG elements where players gain experience, level up, and can allocate earned skill points among several abilities.

Kalicanthus Entertainment announces the next Open Beta event for Craft of Gods servers will be opened for all players from April 2nd, 2.30 PM CET, to April 6 th , 2.30 PM CET.
Level cap will be set to 30 this time and new maps will be available. The novelties youll find in this new event cover a further improvement as for both graphical and functional interface aspects, the ability for players to experience Housing, the introduction of bind points all over the Craft of Gods world, some changes related to the map in order to make it more easily usable, changes in duel system among players and correction of many bugs reported by players. Changes will also be provided as for the number and placement of resources scattered across the world maps.
This will be one of the last chances to try Craft of Gods in Open Beta so we invite all the players to try the game during this event.

F2P Cartoon MMORPG FusionFall
FusionFall is a massively multiplayer online game developed by Cartoon Network and Grigon Entertainment. FusionFall uses the Unity engine as its client technology basis. Though the full game requires a subscription, free accounts can be registered which allow access to a portion of the content, until January 2010 when it was announced it would become free for all users within the next few months. FusionFall can be played for free or with a paid subscription. Free accounts can only play in the "future" portion of the game, which only allows players to collect four Nanos, go up to four levels and create two characters. Players who pay for a subscription have access to the "past" portion of the game, which has a total of 36 Nanos to earn and allows them to create up to four characters. Players with characters that progressed into the past during the sneak peek have their characters locked until they pay for a subscription.

A Level 50 player can make up to 10 wishes per day, with a minimum interval of 5 minutes between wishes. The prize arrangements have also been improved, and will now double every time your wish is granted. Just don’t take it for granted that your wish will be granted every time.
Easier Accessibility to Zeus’ Gifts
The difficulty level of the Zeus’ Gift event has been significantly lowered due to the scarcity of nectar (since it is reserved for the gods). From now on, 10 Level 1 Crystals can be used in place of the wine needed for Zeus’ Gift. The weekend portion of the event has been given a few added perks as well, but it all depends on your luck. Players can spend Dusts to roll a number, and those players who hit the lucky number will win some very nice items.
Offline Prizes Increased
Offline prizes have been introduced for Level 60+ players. Those absent from the game for 24+ hours will earn a certain amount of prizes, including EXP, Talent or Zodiac energy. The longer a Level 60+ player stays offline, the more prizes they can earn.

Available for both Mac OS X and Windows PCs, Blizzard’s addictive games receive updates on a regular basis. Releases generally take long, but the company makes good on every promise, when trying to enhance the gameplay experience, whether it’s for fans of its popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft, or Diablo II fanatics. Today, both of these titles are being updated.
By releasing a new patch for its popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft got updated to version 3.3.3. In addition to fixing the usual array of bugs, the update delivers balance changes, content additions, and a variety of updates to the Battleground system, Blizzard Entertainment has revealed.
Concerning the latter, the Random Battleground system has been added. Similarly to the Random Dungeon system in the Dungeon Finder, players can now queue for a random Battleground, according to the company. Softpedia recently reported that a test realm patch was available for WoW gamers, introducing beta testers to the changes in version 3.3.3 of the game.

Battlegrounds
* The Random Battleground system has been added! Similar to the Random Dungeon system in the Dungeon Finder, players can now queue for a random Battleground.
o The Random Battleground option can be found in the Battleground tab of the PvP frame and is only available for level 80 characters at this time.
o If this option is selected, players may not queue for specific Battlegrounds and a random Battleground simultaneously.
o Similar to the Random Dungeon system, players will not know for which Battleground they are chosen when selected from the queue until they zone into the Battleground.
o The Random Battleground option will only allow a group size of 5 players to queue together.
o Bonus rewards will be offered for choosing the Random Battleground option.
+ Winning a Battleground using the Random Battleground option for the first time in a day will award players with 30 Honorable Kills worth of additional Honor currency and 25 Arena points.
+ Winning additional Battlegrounds using the Random Battleground option after the first random win will award players with 15 Honorable Kills worth of additional Honor currency.
+ Losing a Battleground using the Random Battleground option will award players with 5 Honorable Kills worth of additional Honor currency.
Daily Battleground quests have been removed in place of the Random Battleground option.
* Battlegrounds will no longer award Marks of Honor.
o Players with existing Marks of Honor can still turn them in to their respective faction's quest givers, including individual marks for those who may have more marks for one Battleground than another.
o Items which previously required Marks of Honor will have their costs adjusted to remove these requirements.
* Whenever a Battleground has the holiday bonus active, it will now be referred to as "Call to Arms" in the Battleground tab and Calendar. In addition, Call to Arms Battleground Honor rewards have been changed.
o Choosing a specific Battleground with the Call to Arms bonus active will yield the exact same rewards as when choosing the Random Battleground option.
+ Winning a Call to Arms Battleground for the first time in a day will award players with 30 Honorable Kills worth of additional Honor currency and 25 Arena points.
+ Additional Call to Arms Battleground victories after the first win for a player that day will award them with 15 Honorable Kills worth of additional Honor currency.
+ Losing a Call to Arms Battleground will award players with 5 Honorable Kills worth of additional Honor currency.
o When using the Random Battleground option, players will not receive additional rewards if the Battleground chosen under the Call to Arms bonuses. In addition, the rewards for the first victory of the day cannot be earned more than once, regardless of whether or not it is obtained from the Random Battleground system or the Call to Arms Battleground.

Secret World MMORPG Details
If you've played an MMORPG before, you'll know your way around The Secret World from the get-go. You create a character, join a secret society, and go out into the world to do missions and kick demon ass for experience and loot. We're not out to reinvent the wheel completely. But we're mixing things up quite a bit, both with our role-playing system – which is skill based and level-less – and with our combat, which is very fast-paced and action-packed. And, of course, with the setting and the story. The Secret World takes place in the modern day real world, and players are called upon to fight in the coming war against evil. Dark days are coming and those with the power to stand up and fight must do so – or our world will fall into an eternal night.
Most of the game takes place in locations that, while they're not necessarily real places, should feel genuine – places that could exist in the real world, like Kingsmouth, Maine, which is inspired by several New England coastal towns. Our hub cities are modeled on the real thing, though the specific neighborhoods we've built are, obviously, fictional. As for other areas in the game, they're all placed in recognizable locations – like Egypt – and we've done a ton of research – including sending people from the team to take pictures and speak with locals – to ensure that they feel as genuine as possible.
The Secret World certainly has horror elements in it, particularly in terms of the monsters – but that's not all. There's contemporary fantasy, globe-trotting adventure, ancient myths and urban legends. And our monsters vary from typical horror movie mainstays – your zombies and vampires and chainsaw-wielding brutes – to the more mythical – Wendigo, Sasquatch. But there's certainly a common thread that ensures it doesn't feel like several different games in one: all of our creatures and monsters have a role in the story, and there's a reason behind their re-emergence into the world when the game starts.

Next-generation MMORPG, Secret World.
Anyone looking forward to The Secret World, the latest planned release from Funcom, should keep their eyes on the interweb for some big news on Thursday, March 25. Apparently, secrets will be revealed... we can only presume it will be a full-length gameplay trailer, as many are predicting, although a release date or more beta testing news would be nice. It's been quite a ride for Funcom since it launched science fiction MMORPG Anarchy Online way back in 2001. Despite a terrible launch the game is still plodding along, while some of its more illustrious neighbours have fallen by the wayside. However, it didn't seem to learn from its lessons, experiencing another poor release with its next online offering, Age of Conan, in 2008 (a real shame, as the game is turning out to be pretty good). We can only hope it gets its act together for The Secret World and releases a product some way closer to being the finished article.

What's the best F2P (free to play) MMORPG out there at the moment? Taking in to consideration factors such as visually stimulating, playability, story line, plot... I'm a big big fan of Final Fantasy and I would play FFXI online but it's not F2P! =( Also my comp is pretty old and as such have barely minimum requirements so a mmorpg that doesn't take days to download, set up, and run would be a big bonus.

Cabal Online is a free-to-play, 3D massively-multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), developed by South Korean company ESTsoft. Different versions of the game are available for specific countries or regions, published by various companies such as OGPlanet and Asiasoft. Although Cabal Online is free-to-play, the game has a "Cash Shop" which allows players to purchase game enhancements and useful ingame items using real currency. The game takes place in a mythical world known as Nevareth, which was destroyed by an evil entity known as the CABAL. Out of the survivors, seven "Masters" rose up, each wielding the abilities of the "Force Power". These masters taught the people, and Nevareth was rebuilt. Like many MMORPGs, gameplay is centered on killing monsters, namely grinding, doing quests and venturing into dungeons to obtain experience points and Alz, the in-game currency. Players can band together to form a party, with a maximum of seven characters. Additional "Party Bonus" experience points are obtained by the members of the party based on their contributions.
Characters are created on "servers" or game worlds, each with its own unique name, such as Mercury or Venus. Players from different servers cannot interact with each other and their characters and accounts cannot be transferred between servers; however, all non-event servers have equal content, the only differences being the player base and the total number of items and money flowing in-game. One account allows for a maximum of six characters per server and a player is allowed to play on every server with that single account.
