Free MMORPG Uncharted Waters Online Demo

Uncharted Waters Online Demo
Koei Offers Free Demo For PS3 MMORPG

KOEI is trying their best to lure PS3 owners over to their expansive MMORPG Uncharted Waters Online. After releasing a retail version back in April of last year, KOEI is now giving players the chance to try the game out for free. The demo for the game will release March 9th, just a week ahead of the game’s 5th anniversary update.

If players enjoy the demo they can purchase the game and continue to use the client that they installed from the PSN, giving the PS3 a full MMO game on the PlayStation Network. KOEI has remained silent about a western release for the game, only stating that they are looking into the possibility of bringing it over.

The company announced today the March 9 availability of a free demo version of the game. PS3 owners will be able to download this from PlayStation Store and get started with the game.

If they like what they see, they'll be able to continue playing using the same client that they downloaded. This essentially means that the PS3 will have a fully downloadable MMORPG.

Koei will share further details on the PS3 demo shortly.

The demo coincides with the March 9 release of the game's 5th anniversary update (although the 5th anniversary is actually on March 16). This update, for both PC and PS3 owners, will give the game new events, a new opening movie, a new dungeon, and other additional content.
