Assassin, Warrior and Mage. Each class has its own talent tree and you earn one point per level with which to customize your character. After the Assassin's Guide, here is the guide for mages.
Mage's Guide
Why Mage?
Mages do the most damage out of all classes. If you enjoy doing crushing damage to your enemies and don’t mind being low in health, you should play as a mage.
Should I be a fire or lightening mage?
As of this time, lightening is overwhelming more powerful than fire. Fire spells burning duration is seriously bugged. (Refer to Important Notes for Skills Investments for more in-depth explanation.) Your best choice should be lightening magic.

Which option should I take?
Take Option 1 if you want more flexibility. Use fire shield during instances and fighting tank warriors. Other times use Restoration Shield.
Take Option 2 if you just want a mage that will dominate other mages and assassins.
Important Notes in Skills Investment
Why Fire Magic stinks?
Fire magic burning duration does not stack. The previous burning duration of a skill is simply replaced by a new burning duration of another skill. For example, if Meteorite is trigger and the enemy starts to take +11 damage every 3 seconds and then at your next turn roaring flame is triggered, roaring flame will replace the meteorite burn damage! So now the enemy will take +9 damage every 3 seconds, even though you may still have 18 more seconds of Meteorite burn damage left to go! In a long fight, a fire mage can miss out doing a lot of damage because the burn damage does not stack and is ended the moment a new fire skill is triggered!
Also Flame Proficient does not increase the length of Fire Shield! (Give me a break developers! They are all time-based burn damage!)
However, Fire Shield is able to stack with other fire skills.
So if you are really mad at this, go complain to the developers and GH to get this fixed!
Why no concentration?
According to my own observations, concentration does not seem to improve your damage by 15% when it’s triggered. Therefore, I do not use it and do not recommend getting it.

FAQs
Q. What is palsy?
A. It prevents your enemy from taking action against you for that specific length of time after it is triggered.
Q. Does the %damage of Fire Shield apply to total HP or current HP?
A. Total HP
Q. I still have a question on…
A. Go search around the forum, go ask a Game Helper in game, or empower yourself by solving it yourself and then sharing it with us!
Side Note~
Flame Proficient and Lightening Proficient should be changed to Flame Proficiency and Lightening Proficiency.
Someone still needs to verify that Flame Proficient and Lightening Proficient do what they ought to do.
