Atari and Cryptic Studios announced yesterday that their Champions Online MMORPG would be free to play starting in early 2011. Similar to other free to play MMORPGs, the free to play version of Champions Online will be fully playable without a subscription or credit card, but there will be several premium features available for people who choose to subscribe (or who have purchased lifetime subscriptions).
