Once a player asked why another player with only 500-600 attack could cause massive damage to him, as he had 2000 defense. The answer is that the other player may have embedded runes to his equipment. Runes can deal extra damage which can ignore the opponent’s defense and dodge rate and can only be defended with defense runes. For example, if a player has 200 physical attack, 100 of which comes from his rune, you will lose 100 HP anyway even if you have 5000 physical defense and have dodged the attack, because runes always deal direct damage to the target. Therefore, the quality is only one of the factors for a top weapon, you should also see whether it is socketed and embedded with runes.
